About The Frederick Blues Society Inc.

The Frederick Blues Society Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation headquartered in historic Frederick, Maryland. We are members and strong supporters of the The Blues Foundation which serves as the hub for the worldwide passion for Blues Music.

A Board of Directors governs the Frederick Blues Society Inc., supported by our ever-growing base of members. Funding for the Frederick Blues Society Inc. comes from membership dues, private donations, corporate sponsorships, grants from private foundations, government agencies and arts organizations as well as merchandise and event ticket sales. Contributions to Frederick Blues Society Inc., including membership dues, are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowable by law.

Organized and founded in 1999, The Frederick Blues Society Inc.'s mission is to preserve Blues history, celebrate Blues excellence, support Blues education in Frederick County and ensure the future of this uniquely American art form.
